Together with supplier Formica, BLOK Plaatmateriaal proudly sponsored the ELLE Business Lounge during the Dutch Design Week. For this design festival, Evelien Reich, editor-in-chief at ELLE Decoration NL, and interior company Daphna Laurens joined forces. The result? A unique Business Lounge filled with breathtaking designs. The centerpiece in the Business Lounge was a terracotta-colored bar constructed by interior builder Sander Zwart. Stretching an impressive twelve meters in length and curving like a snake through the space, the bar boasted a stunning color combination. During the Dutch Design Week, this centerpiece served as a coffee bar, press desk, and workspace, making it super multifunctional!
Thoughtful material choices were made for the design. Inside, poplar plywood and gray moisture-resistant MDF from Unilin were used. The exterior of the bar featured different finishes both horizontally and vertically, sourced from the Formica MicroDot collection in the color Earthenware. The combination of Unilin and Formica resulted in an innovative design where aesthetic appeal and sustainability go hand in hand.
